Glenda and her team will create a composting program to help rural communities in Sonsonate, El Salvador, preparing to scale the project nationally.  The compost bins will be created onsite from local materials on a proven design template, and local communities will be trained in their (easy) use.  These inexpensive soil conditioners will recycle organic waste materials from these rural households.  The compost will reduce waste, improve hygiene and health outcomes, and replenish nutrient-poor soils to increase productivity and decrease erosion.
