Bettina is a 22-year-old medical student from Caracas, Venezuela. Since she was very young, she has been familiarized with social awareness and volunteering by participating in her Ursulin School Catholic Missions. Growing up in Venezuela and experiencing the crisis the country is suffering has made Bettina understand that social responsibility and commitment to Venezuela’s future had to be an important part of her life. As a medical student, Bettina has participated in programs that provide free healthcare services to difficult access communities in Venezuela. She is an active member of her Medical School’s student body and has done model United Nations for over 4 years! Currently, she is researching the incidence of Malaria in Venezuela and is looking forward to developing the E-ROQ venture, a program that will bring English to the community of Los Roques in order to create sustainable tourism time and provide new economic opportunities for Venezuela’s progress.
