Sarah Van Buren is a graduate of Brandeis University who studied Biology and International & Global Studies with minors in Peace, Conflict, & Coexistence Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies.She holds with her a fundamental belief that every individual has the right to adequate healthcare. With these convictions, Sarah currently works with several health-focused NGOs including Partners in Health, Nyaya Health, and Project Plus One. Within Project Plus One, Sarah serves as the Director of International Operations. In this capacity, she has written grants focused on raising quality of and access to healthcare in Timor Leste. She carries with her a profound passion for women’s health equity and access and seeks to become an OB/GYN and health educator in Southeast Asia. Sarah is currently serving as a teacher in the STEM focal-area through Teach for America in the South Bronx.
