Vanessa Picker and Leah Costanzo developed their Venture, ‘Play Forward,’ with the goal of combining sports and mentorship to build confidence and self-esteem in disadvantaged Australian youth, including those from indigenous populations.  Their sport-based programs aim to teach integral life skills, leadership, and cooperation. The Play Forward pre-loved sporting good drives collect and recycle used equipment for children who would otherwise not have access to it.  Vanessa is nearing the completion of her undergraduate degree at the University of Adelaide, studying Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  She was recently selected as a finalist for the prestigious ‘Young Australian of the Year’ award and was a keynote speaker at the One Young World Conference.  Leah Costanzo is currently working towards a double degree in Law and Commerce at the University of Adelaide, majoring in management.
