Vidit Aatrey and Prashant Kumar received Resolution Fellowships in 2011 for their social venture ‘Pledge’. Pledge aims to bridge the gap between unemployed youth and potential employers, to ensure that poor people are rewarded for gaining additional education and skills. Their innovative web platform allows companies to view the students’ profiles and, if interested, set up placement interviews. Currently, they are working with Etasha Society to integrate the platform with their placement cell. Pledge has played a key role in placing students from Vidya Foundation in the past. Vidit is an electrical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. He is working with ITC Limited as Assistant Manager (Supply Chain). In college, he actively volunteered to teaching underprivileged students in NGOs as part of the College Community Service practice. He is a former youth representative of Indian Red Cross Society. Prashant is also a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and has worked for corporations such as Shell and HSBC.
