Masiga Ritah pursued a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Fine Art at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. She is a Fashion major who ventures into wearable art which gives her exposure to articulating, and analyzing issues as themes in her design by communicating to the world using her garments. As a 4th cohort scholar under MasterCard Foundation at Makerere University, she served as Deputy speaker in Mastercard Scholars Association, peer mentor, who is equipped with skills like communication, teamwork, financial literacy, organization, research, ICT, capacity building, entrepreneurship, work readiness, and first aid and ICDL. She is a versatile, self-motivated young woman who looks forward to changing her community with a social venture she won with Resolution fellowship 2021 project Weza Foundation as founder which empowers teenage mothers in Eastern Uganda through craft making to impact lives in the community. Over the years, she has grown academically which motivates her to pursue her career further for post-graduate studies which build her will and develop her career more within and outside the design field.
