Rahmah Aderinoye was awarded a Resolution Fellowship for her venture ‘Youth for Intellectual Interaction Initiative’. This venture will offer vocational training in tailoring, candle making, soap making, interior decor and farming to youths in Nigeria. After months of training, the participants will be provided with basic materials necessary to start their business, including access to leasing heavier equipment (farm machinery, sewing machines) from a central repository. The participants will also be educated on financial management techniques. Rahmah is studying Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington, is a member of Global Changemakers, and an engaged volunteer with UNICEF and the American Heart Association.
