Anand Macherla is a 2018 Venture For America Fellow and works as a Data Analyst at T. Rowe Price, an asset management firm in Baltimore, Maryland.Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Anand previously founded, and successfully exited from, a startup working with local artisans to share the cultural significance of their craft. He is an author of a book (publishing in 2020) highlighting the impact of international discourse around outer space policy on human rights and environmental protection. Anand has a degree in Economics and International Management from the University of New Mexico, where he performed research on emerging nuclear threats and human rights as they relate to conflict resources. Ultimately, he seeks to have a career developing novel approaches to solving pressing global issues, using complexity science and artistic data visualizations. In his free time, he is a competitive rock climber.
