Dr. Shaan C. Gandhi is an entrepreneur, investor and resident physician in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital Alongside his clinical duties, he leads Wellable, a Boston-based mobile corporate wellness startup serving thousands of members, as its Chief Medical Officer and engages in early-stage biopharmaceutical and healthcare IT investments at Excel Venture Management, a $250 million venture capital fund, also based in Boston. His work with the Resolution Project started in 2010 when he was selected as a Resolution Fellow for his leadership at Health2Home, a maternal and child mobile health nonprofit based in Uganda and the United Kingdom.
Beyond Health2Home, his nonprofit endeavors encompass serving as secretary/treasurer of the Suffolk District Medical Society, trustee of the Boston Medical Library, the largest academic medical library in North America, and a past trustee of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and of Harvard Business School, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar. He received his DPhil in medical oncology from the University of Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar and his undergraduate degree with honors in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University, where he was a Goldwater Scholar.
