Dorris is a co-founder, mentor, and director at Mshauri Youth Empowerment Program. Through this non-profit organization, she advocates for quality education, servant leadership, and personal development among the youth in Kenya. They aim to achieve this through establishing public access resource centers and need specific mentorship programs. Her mentorship approach seeks to address psychosocial factors that affect students in school. She believes that Africa can develop if individuals identify gaps within their societies and collaborate to implement working solutions. Dorris is also currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. In the future, she hopes to use her experiences and knowledge gained throughout her medical career to influence policies that advocate for quality and affordable healthcare especially in Kenya.
