Mansi is returning to her family’s village in India to replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent (“CFL”) bulbs, promoting energy efficiency and lowering energy bills for these homes.  Starting with 100 households, Mansi will create awareness that while CFL bulbs seem more expensive, they are actually much more cost effective, thereby saving these households a very material sum.  Should the pilot venture prove viable, Mansi plans a buy-one-give-one model in the USA to promote CFL replacement in rural villages. Recently, Brighter Today successfully developed its solar panel technology and implemented its pilot program in one village.
