Ermyntrude is passionate about helping the vulnerable in society. Aware of the challenges people living with disabilities face, she is driven to change the status quo through rehabilitation engineering, prosthetics, and orthotics. From manufacturing robots from scratch as an intern at Robocon Egypt to troubleshooting medical equipment as a clinical engineering intern, Ermyntrude has gained much experience as a team player and enjoys participation. Her passion for women’s empowerment leads her to the question of social narrative which has stifled creativity in women for years. As the first female president of her departmental society, the Biomedical Engineering Students’ Society in KNUST, she spearheaded the organization of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration and renewal for the entire student populace. She is now determined to equip the younger female generation with the skills necessary to thrive. The world is surely going to be surprised at her!
