BIO

Jasmine Duncan is a young entrepreneur pursuing a BSc in Business Management Entrepreneurship at the University of the West Indies. Like many Jasmine planned to graduate college, work and attend university. However the harsh realities of unemployment prompted her to seek another source of income. Combining her love for the environment and art started two small businesses, Broquet producing customized wine glasses and GEION making ottomans from old tires. In December 2018, she applied to the Caribbean Tech Entrepreneurship Program with her start up GEION, becoming a top 10 finalist. Though opportunities existed she felt a lack of support and guidance that could significantly improve the performance of persons accepting the offer. This inspired her to create a platform providing opportunities and support to young person’s ensuring they succeed. As a One Young World Ambassador, Queens Commonwealth Scholar and Global Shaper, the schools Business Award and college Law Award Jasmine is working to make her venture YE!, Youth of Excellence, a hub for the success of all youth.
