Estela David is a co-founder of FACULTEC, a social organization that helps Mozambican students prepare for and navigate the entire university application process abroad. This enterprise, like for her teammate, reflects her experience on the application process of educational opportunities in anglophone countries as a non-English language speaker, which constitutes a major challenge for students in Mozambique. She just earned her degree in Spanish and Business Communication from Westminster College under the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program. Estela is passionate about working with young people and she has consistently devoted her time to helping them succeed academically through the various programs she launched in coordination with her community. Her previous accomplishments include a tutoring school for over one thousand unprivileged children from her village and a microfinance program that supports local young girls to start their own small businesses to finance their educational expenses.
