BIO

Veronica Yamoah attends Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. She is a final year Bachelor of Arts Student of Religious Studies, who was born on the 18th February 1997 at Awoshie, a town located in the Ga Central and Ablekuma North Municipal Districts of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Yamoah and grew up among six siblings.

At age 12, she was exposed to the difficulties of life as her mother was medically advised to desist from hectic and difficult tasks as a result of a surgery she had undergone. She had to assist the family with their livelihood as her father had also lost his job then. At a tender age, she took the responsibility of caring for the family by engaging in petty trading before and after school.
Regardless of these hardships, she never lost sight of her dream to become a Lecturer hence, took studies seriously and was introduced to MasterCard Scholars Foundation at the Senior High Level as a result of emerging as one of the best students in her school, T. I. Ahmadiyya Senior High.

The exposure and lessons acquired from her childhood life increased her passion for assisting the needy and giving back to her community with a focus on the youth. She believes that everyone can make it when given the rare opportunity. Therefore, she is always grateful to MasterCard Scholars Foundation for giving her this exceptional opportunity.
