The Princess Project is a college readiness program targeted towards underrepresented high school girls in Kansas. Through a standardized, multifaceted four-year program, Princess Project participants will be supported by female mentors who are pursuing majors that align with the girls’ interests.  The Project, based in Wichita, would foster a supportive community by strongly encouraging parent/school participation and by requiring civic engagement.  Kiah grew up seeing Disney princesses that did not look like her, and she resolved to bring new, diverse role models into the lives of girls from different backgrounds.
