A champion for girls education and children’s rights, Ousmane is a student at Columbia University, studying political science and economics with a focus on peace and advocacy. In addition to leading peace-building initiatives in Guinea to promote youth engagement and civil duties in Guinea, Ousmane is a Global Youth Ambassador at A World at School, a movement launched in 2014 by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown.
