Julio is a fifth year medical student at Universidad Central de Venezuela. Born and raised in Caracas, Julio attended a Jesuit high school to which he attributes his devotion to serve others. He has been involved in multiple activities that have helped him develop as a young leader, starting as part of the student’s council of his high school before he graduated with honors in 2012. He became part of the Scientific Society of Medical Students of his country in 2014, participating in academic activities and presenting Clinical Cases of interest at the Latin American Congress of Medical Students. Julio was part of Universidad Central de Venezuela’s team to Harvard National Model of United Nations in four opportunities, serving his last year as Faculty Advisor and delegation’s chief. Julio likes to describe himself as a very competitive and self-demanding person, reason why he is pursuing to complete clinical rotations in the United States in order to bring the most recent updates to Venezuela. As he is very passionate about Reproductive Sciences and its relation with Oncology, he founded this venture to help his country to develop new public health policies on the field.
