Joy Kafua grew up in Paidha in the West Nile region, Uganda where life was never a bed of roses, and had to learn how to earn a living at the tender age of 10 out of sand mining. This opened her eyes to what life was and ignited a fire within her to be of help to the people in her community especially the less privileged children of which most actually are. She calls herself “the boy child advocate”. She believes service to people is what makes life more meaningful. She would gladly say music is an inert part of life. She loves reading and would love to be a writer someday in the near future. She is a software engineering student at Makerere University and is looking forward to using what she has studied to change the face of the community and impact lives through technology.
