Chen Jiahua grew up in China and is now studying environmental science at Mcgill University. She is passionate about social work and loves the idea of improving the lives of others. In Canada, she volunteers at Tyndale St. George community service center and Happy Belly Cooking Club, both of which reutilizes expired food to feed the hunger. In China, Jiahua is the founder of Hearing Hope Project for Blind Children, which teaches children techniques in running radio programs and offers them abundant radio resources. It’s because of these experiences that she initiated PDT Food Collective, which allows she and co-founder Ying to bring their experience with NGOs in Montreal back to China in order to serve more people in need.
