BIO

Brittney Dorton is currently a third-year college student at the University of Chicago where she studies Comparative Human Development and Human Rights. She is one of the co-founders of Open Access, where she serves as the Research and Advocacy Chair. Extremely passionate about human rights, Brittney has been active in disability rights advocacy for the last four years, and is currently the president of UChicago’s Organization of Students with Disabilities. She previously interned at Human Rights Watch, and worked in a neuroscience lab assisting with research on empathy. Brittney believes that we all benefit from a more accessible world and hopes her work with Open Access will help create one.
