Waira Ronald is a 23-year-old young youth born in a family of seven people in Mayuge district, Eastern Uganda. He is a final year student at Makerere University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration. He is passionate about empowering and helping vulnerable and marginalized groups of people like the poor, orphans and vulnerable children, women, disabled and old aged. After the outbreak of COVID 19 which severely hit the world, and left many teenage girls in Mayuge young mothers and unable to meet their basic needs, Ronald and his friend Ali started up an intervention program (Rabbits for Tomorrow) of training teenage mothers in modern methods and skills in rabbit keeping in order to enable them to raise their own and sell so as to meet their basic needs. He is passionate about changing social change, bringing a smile to one’s face, and leadership.
