Moses is in his third year at the University of California at Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is also a MasterCard Foundation scholar and plans to work in the African continent after graduate school to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the continent. Born in Kenya, Moses graduated from high school in 2012 and took two years off working as a bank teller at Equity Bank Kenya. He is a member of the Equity Leaders Program which is a leadership and professional development program that takes the top ranked students in the Kenya high school final examinations (KCSE). He graduated as the top student in the Kajiado county of Kenya. He believes technological innovation represents a way developing countries can improve levels of education and training, as well as address gender issues within society.
