Michael Yamoah Oppong is an energetic young man who aspires to leave a positive mark wherever he goes. He is a final year student in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana where he is pursuing a degree in Natural Resources Management with Forestry as his Specialization. Michael believes that the world is full of opportunities both good and bad; as such the onus lies on you to embrace what would be in your best interest. He is a staunch Christian, a pragmatist, and a generational thinker.

Having completed St. Michael’s School Complex in 2012 where he served as the Head School Prefect in the 2011/12 academic year, He proceeded to Koforidua Secondary Technical School, Ghana (KSTS) where he read General Science. His three (3) years stay in KSTS was marked with a promising Leadership path as he became the Vice President of the Debaters and Creative Writers’ Club and the Students Representative Council’s Vice President in his 2nd and 3rd years respectively. Aside from spending most of his life in School, he is actively involved in Volunteering works with several NGOs in Ghana.

Michael has the utmost desire to work in the United Nations one day. His love for humanity propelled him to be awarded a Resolution Fellow Award in the 2020 Harvard National Model United Nations Conference. This desire has made him a decorated MUNer in Ghana as he was adjudged the Overall Best Delegate in the 2019 Life-Link Tertiary Model United Nations Conference as well as the Overall Best Delegate in 2018 KNUST- United Nations Students Association’s Model UN simulation. His love for diplomacy cannot be overemphasized as he currently works with Life-Link Friendship schools, in Ghana to train students in the Primary and Junior High Schools on how to Model the United Nations. He is an avid reader and a sportsman.
