Maame Efua Yamoawah Essel is a CAMFED-Ghana Mastercard Foundation scholar
who recently graduated from the University Cape Coast. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Communication Studies(major) and a minor in French and Classics and Philosophy.
She was the Ag. Vice President for the Communication Studies Students Association
(COMSA) and doubled as the secretary for the Institute of Public Relations- University of
Cape Coast chapter. She is knowledgeable and has keen interest in Advertising, Public
Relations strategies and Journalism. She served with the Directorate of Public Affairs at the
University of Cape Coast for her National Service and currently enrolled on the MPhil
Postgraduate program in Communication Studies at the University of Ghana
Being passionate about mentorship, youth development and gender advocacy, she is a
co-founder of Impart Reading, a social venture that seeks to develop the habit of reading
among young people through engaging them to read twice a week at school and on weekends
at the shores and in the comfort of their homes. She doubles as a member of the Impart
Foundation and GloKennies Foundation. Both are social enterprises that seek to improve the
lives of young people through literacy, technology, entrepreneurship, mentorship programs
and career guidance. She is a formidable team player of the Public relations and Advertising
team of Babet Foods.
Maame Efua is a 2019 exchange program student from the University of Cape Coast
at Sciences Po, France (Reims Campus) and a 2020 Resolution Fellow.
