Born and raised in Germany, Celia moved to Kenya, where what began as volunteer experiences evolved into a long-term commitment to locally led development. She founded Siku Njema Kesho, a community-based organization that creates opportunities for children and young people through education, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives while strengthening local leadership and ownership. Since then, she has built a career spanning program strategy, fundraising, and partnerships across East Africa, working with nonprofits, community organizations, and philanthropic partners to mobilize resources, strengthen organizations, and design approaches that center people, relationships, and sustainable impact. Having made Kenya her home, Celia remains passionate about fostering meaningful connections and supporting organizations and communities to thrive together.
