Vongai is a Zimbabwean student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology on a Pre-Medical Track at New York University Abu Dhabi. Her love of life sciences and her extracurricular interests intersect around a common theme: education. She believes that education is an intersectional force that can empower and produce long-lasting change. She has worked in a broad range of settings that have affirmed this belief; from a volunteer pre-school teacher in the Philippines to a facilitator in a Leadership Development Series for young girls in Abu Dhabi. In these experiences, she enjoyed being able to support others as they cultivated their own dreams and aspirations.She uses her venture, College Admissions Mentors for Africa (CAMA) to connect African high school students with mentors in an online mentorship program so that they can overcome any barriers in their pursuit for higher education.
