Labu Sharma is the Regional Vice President & General Manager for Southwest region of GE Healthcare ($450 MM annual revenue). With responsibilities spanning GE Healthcare’s imaging, ultrasound, life care solutions, IT, consulting and life science offerings, Labu leverages the capabilities across GE Healthcare in partnering with providers and governments to improve healthcare quality, access and affordability.

Prior to his current role, as an Executive Director, Labu provided executive oversight and led commercial teams across the country to drive growth, strategic alignment, operational efficiencies, improve outcomes, while achieving high customer satisfaction. Preceding this role, as a Lead for Americas Commercial Transformation Labu managed and led key elements of a broad-scale commercial restructuring effort and its organizational, operational and cultural implications, resulting in the re-deployment of 1800+ sales professionals, 500+ indirect channel partners and 400+ commercial operations professionals across GEHC’s North America $8B+ division. This included developing and implementing new processes, channel strategies, territory and funnel management, account transitions and integration, quota setting and sales productivity.

Labu started his GE career in 2003 as a recruit of GEHC’s Americas Sales Leadership Training Program (ASTP). Upon graduation, he joined the US Diagnostic Imaging team as an Account Manager in 2004.Prior to joining GE, he began his career as a technical consultant with a Microsoft managed partner and soon, transitioned into the Business Development Manager role to manage and sell consulting services.

Originally from Nepal, Labu is passionate about driving a culture of Diversity & Inclusion. He leads several D&I initiatives across GE Healthcare and is a frequent speaker/panelist at various events. Labu has continued to serve a Guide for The Resolution Project (Social Venture not for profit) since 2014. Labu currently resides in Orange County, CA with his wife Sarina and daughters Yeshwi and Sriya.

Labu earned his Master’s in Strategy, Leadership and Organizational Change from Northwestern University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, along with several technical certifications. He is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified and has participated in various GE corporate learning (Crotonville) courses.  He has been recognized by his leadership and peers with multiple Leadership and Commercial Excellence Awards.
