Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine is a social-impact entrepreneur, corporate lawyer, and global education leader committed to empowering young changemakers and expanding equitable opportunity. She is the President & CEO of Khan Academy Philippines (the first international licensee of Khan Academy), where she is leading the nationwide rollout of free, world-class, AI-enabled learning to millions of students and teachers across the Philippines.
Geraldine has dedicated her career to building platforms that unlock human potential—from advancing access to high-quality education, to championing groundbreaking research and care for underserved communities in global health. Earlier in her career, she practiced corporate law in New York and Boston and served for over a decade as Senior Counsel at Bracebridge Capital, advising on global alternative investments.
A passionate advocate for youth leadership and innovative public-private partnerships, Geraldine has served in key civic and academic roles, including as Vice-Chair of the Harvard University Board of Overseers, Trustee of the Massachusetts General Hospital, board member of the Women’s Foundation of Massachusetts, and board member of The Asian American Foundation.
She is proud to be a Founding Member of Resolution Project and a steadfast supporter of Resolution Fellows as they turn bold ideas into real-world impact around the globe.
