Elizabeth Abitanto is the Director of Programs at Resolution Project. In this role, she provides strategic vision and growth for the department and ensures her team is properly resourced to see that vision through. She is also a key member of Resolution’s Leadership Team, and works closely with the Development department to engage funders around programmatic work.

Prior to joining Resolution, Elizabeth led programs and strategic growth at a nonprofit for over 11 years creating equity in higher education to ensure academic success for underserved students and their families in the greater Newark area. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Abitanto has helped the nonprofits she has been a part of gain national recognition and receive the National Summer Learning Association New York Life Excellence in Summer Learning Award, the American Bar Association Alexander Award for Innovation, and recognition from the U.S. Department of Education. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers-Newark. She also serves as Board President of Philips Academy Charter School in Newark, NJ.
