Bob Spoer is the Chief Entrepreneur for People at Ashoka, the world’s leading network of social entrepreneurs. 

A veteran of Silicon Valley’s search industry, Spoer has recruited global business and technical innovators for a number of Silicon Valley companies. In addition to LinkedIn, he has led global recruiting at Trimble and Teknekron. His search career began with Spencer Stuart based in Hong Kong and later co-founded “Recruiting for Good” (RFG) at Linkedin, which does pro bono searches for NGOs all over the globe by leveraging the LinkedIn platform. Spoer’s pro bono clients have included the White House Presidential Innovation Fellows (RFG being the primary outside recruiting partner), Playworks, Global Network Initiative, and Ashoka. Thanks in part to RFG’s recruiting success at the outset of the Presidential Innovation Fellows program, President Obama issued an Executive Order to make the program permanent under GSA.
