Lee Gao focuses on investments in China at Harding Loevner. He has been an investor in emerging markets and Asia since 2007, including at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, GCA (Nomura Greentech), Caravel Management, and Joho Capital, after starting his career at J.P. Morgan in investment banking.

Lee holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he served as the business director for WorldMUN 2005 and 2006. He has been involved with the Resolution Project since then, including the Resolution Social Venture Challenge events at WorldMUN 2010.
