Junyi is addressing the very serious problem in China of children separated from migrant worker parents who must live in the cities to work while their children stay in rural areas and are often virtually abandoned (the “left behind children,” as they are called).  The team has launched a program providing these elementary school children in Sichuan Province with adult mentors who can provide them with emotional support, stability, and a positive role model.
