Transfernation aims to partner corporations with social institutions via the creation of an online platform to facilitate the transfer of extra food from those with excess to those in need.  Starting with a website and then a mobile app in New York City, Samir and Hannah will allow corporations to sign in and note when they are having a major event that is likely to have leftover food, where a City Harvest or like organization can match with the opportunity and take the food away.  Future expansion plans are to create a person-to-person online food sharing network.  With the right approach, this app could be the Uber/Seamless of the excess food problem.
