Joyce and Mina are from Ghana, where Mina grew up an orphan. They set out to ensure that orphans, who fare very poorly in Ghana’s school system, get better services. They will bring together mental health services, social workers, tuition assistance and other services into a holistic package for middle school and high school orphans in Accra.
