SoyLife is a youth-led social venture addressing malnutrition in Kitgum District, Northern Uganda. The venture produces nutrient-rich soy flour and Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) using locally sourced soybeans from smallholder farmers, creating a sustainable supply chain that supports both nutrition and livelihoods. SoyLife currently sources its raw materials from at least 10 smallholder farmers and provides employment opportunities for 4 local youth, strengthening community economic resilience. In addition to food production, the venture conducts community-based nutrition education to promote healthy feeding practices, hygiene, and lifestyle behaviors. Through this integrated approach, SoyLife improves access to affordable, nutritious food while empowering households with knowledge to prevent malnutrition. The venture continues to focus on reducing child malnutrition, enhancing household incomes, and building a healthier, more self-reliant community in Kitgum District.
