Issue Area

Ability is launching a transportation business in Tanzania that will purchase vans to serve as local taxis, recruit drivers, train those drivers in entrepreneurship, and allow them to earn their vehicles in 18 months to start their own independent taxi services.  This venture will generate direct impacts on the drivers through financial inclusion (they cannot afford to purchase a car today) and entrepreneurship training, while employing them as they learn.  The venture will also ease transportation congestion in the region and contribute to job creation.  Ability has successfully partnered in the past to run a motorcycle cab business, but he was a minority shareholder of that business, and this venture will be owned and operated by him and will have distinct social impacts.
