The Model City Council is a social venture that creates localized systems for social innovation, legislation, and youth leadership in partnership with local governments based in the Philippines.

The venture provides young Filipinos the unique opportunity to discuss issues that directly affect them as members of society, and provides them the opportunity to propose solutions to these problems through a tie-up with their local government. We encourage young people to take action and generate innovative ways to address long-standing societal issues that continue to affect a majority of small communities in the country by bringing in technical support from larger, more experienced organizations in the sector like the various UN bodies, social enterprises, and other civil society organizations. 

The venture is implemented through a specialized, annual partnership covering 3 phases in each of our partner communities in line with the mandate of local governments to develop stronger ecosystems for youth participation around the country.
