Kouzin Dlo’s mission is to improve health by increasing access to clean water.
Kouzin Dlo is building a profitable, national network of female clean water entrepreneurs in Haiti. We’re doing this because most Haitians do not have access to clean water sources and the treated water that is available is prohibitively expensive. This explains why cholera and childhood diarrhea are causing a high level of death and disease across the country. Kouzin Dlo brings together chlorine, a proven, low-cost water purification technology, with an efficient distribution model. We do this by training local women as independent sales agents to sell a local chlorine in their social network. This keeps the cost down and provides a personal relationship to build consumer trust and ensure proper use.
