Campus Kitchen at the University of Houston volunteers will collect leftover food from university dining facilities in Houston, Texas.  They will then transform recovered food into meals and make daily deliveries to the neighboring Third Ward community.  The Third Ward is considered a food desert and is highly-distressed.  The venture also aims to educate residents about proper nutrition, healthy food options, and health implications that arise from restricted access to quality foods.
