Dr. Vianney Andrew Yiga is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Makerere University, Uganda. He earned BSc. and MSc. in Mechanical Engineering degrees (2015, 2018) from Makerere University. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Makerere University in 2022. Dr. Yiga was a postdoctoral researcher between 2022 and 2023 at the Department of Fibre and Polymer Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He has also undertaken research fellowships in Germany and Norway. He has published widely in international scientific journals as well as presented at many International conferences. Dr. Yiga has served as a reviewer for many reputable peer-reviewed journals. His research focuses on waste management through transforming waste materials into value added products. He is currently a full editorial board member for Discover Applied Sciences Journal, Waste Management Bulletin Journal and Discover Environment Journal
