Stephen Reynard has a BA in History and Political Science and an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution with a focus on International NGO Management.
While born in Germany and growing up in Canada, he is both a citizen of the UK and the USA. In 2009, Stephen was part of an international team that co-founded a US-based International NGO called Sports4HOPE (S4H). In 2011, he moved to Eastern DRC as Project Coordinator of S4H’s pilot project aimed at using sport and peace education to encourage reconciliation in communities affected by conflict. Stephen then joined the Swiss Academy for Development in January 2013 as Project Manager of the International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev.org).
Stephen is currently working as a development advisor for GIZ’s Sport for Development in Africa project. He is responsible for advising the implementation of the project’s activities in Togo where he lives with his wife Amandine Reynard.
