Paulina Alcántara





Paulina Alcántara is currently an MBA candidate at The Wharton School. Before starting business school, she was an Investment Analyst of the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services Department at International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and the largest global developmental institution focused on private sector development in emerging and frontier markets. Before joining IFC, Paulina was an Intern of the Tax Advisory Department at Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, a Mexican Lawyers and Tax Advisory firm. 
Paulina holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). While pursuing her undergraduate degrees, Paulina was Treasurer and member of the Executive Board of BIU, an association created by ITAM students, which provides scholarships to teenagers that come from low-income households in order to help them continue with their education. Paulina is a lifetime member of the International Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
