Michael is an Assurance Director in the New York office of McGladrey LLP. He works primarily in the Real Estate Services Group and serves various types of commercial real estate operations, an airport terminal at John F. Kennedy Airport, a public real estate investment trust (REIT), a real estate fund. His client work provides him a strong background and knowledge with accounting for business combinations, consolidation of variable interest entities, valuation of marketable securities and other financial instruments, stock based compensation and fair value measurements of real estate and derivative transactions. Within the organization, Michael participates in building the Firm’s pipeline of talent by co-leading the recruiting efforts of a key focus schools within the tri-state area and serves as an advisor to four professionals ranging from first year staff associate through Manager. Michael plays an active role in developing and delivering both local and National Continuing Professional Education through his participation on the National Facilitation team. Michael also has been instrumental in helping shape the future of his organization by participating in local and national task forces and initiatives. Michael has a BS in accounting and finance from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
