Mei is an Investment Analyst at the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group focused on private sector investments in emerging and frontier markets. As part of the Global Infrastructure and Natural Resources team, Mei works on petroleum investments across Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, she spent 2 years with the Technology Investment Banking team at Citigroup in San Francisco advising disruptive internet and software companies on IPO and mergers & acquisitions. Mei holds B.A. Statistics and B.S. Business Administration from UC Berkeley. During her studies, she taught classes at Young Entrepreneurs At Haas, served as Director of board at International Association of Business Communicators, and volunteered at Astia, a global incubator for women-led startups. Mei was born and raised in mainland China. She first came to the U.S. as a government-sponsored exchange student, during which she published a book on American education.
