Maria Fernanda Castro is a Senior Communications Specialist at Deloitte Global. As part of her role, she
supports the development of multiple thought leadership pieces along with their respective
communications campaigns, elevating Deloitte Global’s expertise in topics including sustainability,
inclusion, and the future of work. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2021, she worked as a communications
specialists in the international development sector, focusing on agricultural development, public–private
partnerships, global health, and supply chain management.

Maria Fernanda holds a BS in journalism from the University of Florida. She was also a Peace Corps
volunteer in Mozambique, where she not only worked at a local high school as an English teacher, but
also supported a conservation project which focused on the critical intersection of development and
conservation. As part of the Resolution Guide Program, Maria Fernanda is committed to supporting
young leaders and help their communities thrive.
