Majid is currently a Process Development Engineer at Butamax, a joint venture between BP and DuPont. He assists the effort of Butamax to commercialize bio-butanol as a global transportation fuel through process modeling, flowsheet optimization and plant design. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. In the past he has done research through the Department of the Navy concerning alternative fuel fire safety and served as a mentor to a FIRST robotics team. Majid is a competitive runner, racing from 5km to the half marathon. He speaks Urdu and hopes to add French, Italian, and Spanish to that list.
