Kathryn Frances, LMSW is a PhD student at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration and a Project Coordinator for the UChicago Urban Labs. At SSA, Kathryn works with the Smart Decarceration Project and studies qualitative methods to inform research on the social and political intersections between access to housing and criminal justice involvement. At the Urban Labs, she coordinates a project in partnership with the Cook County Sherriff’s Office in developing a program to meet the needs of women exiting jail. Kathryn received her MSW from Hunter College in Manhattan, NY and her BA from Berea College in Berea, KY.
