Jon Hill is a Vice President within the U.S. Rates Strategy team at BMO Capital Markets. With over 5 years of experience, Jon is responsible for contributing to broader U.S. rates strategy and research with a focus on the front-end. Previous to joining BMO in 2018, Jon was an Associate and Trader in the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing global financial markets in order to inform the formulation and implementation of monetary policy, and execute domestic open market operations on behalf of the FOMC. Jon also served as a Debt Manager in the Office of Debt Management at the U.S. Treasury Department, where he contributed to issuance strategy with a focus on notes and bonds. In addition, Jon worked in the Investment Research and Strategy group at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, where he acted as the firm’s main global markets observer and strategist. Jon began his career back in 2011 where he was a Research Associate in the International Research Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Jon is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
