Esther Kim is Vice President at BlackRock where she is responsible for client priories, strategic projects, communications, and external engagements on behalf of the Global Head of Active Equities. Prior to her current role, she led initiatives to advance the institutional sales strategy through product-specific tools, sales collateral, and competitive analysis. Esther first joined BlackRock’s International Department in 2008 to develop and maintain relationships with non-US institutional clients with a focus in the Asia Pacific region. Esther was a White House intern working within the Office of Public Liaison, which bridged the White House with various constituents. She specifically supported the Asian-American, Latino-American, and African-American communities. She earned a BS from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Business with finance and international concentrations. During her time at UVa, she acted in Grounds for Discussion, served in Student Council, was in Army ROTC, and studied abroad. She has traveled to 20 countries, performed at the Kennedy Center, and was a light-weight rower. Esther currently serves on the Council for Urban Professionals’ CUP Fellows Board and as Co-Head of BlackRock’s WIN NY External Committee.
